Strategic Communications Practice Summary
FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications practice is a leading global communications consultancy. Position Summary
FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications team is seeking to hire a communications practitioner to join an ambitious and growing team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to both service client companies on a day-to-day basis and contribute to new business development. The candidate should also have a strong interest in developing a strategic approach to communications, excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to help manage junior team members as a collegiate team player. The candidate should be mature, results-oriented, and prepared to learn and utilise new approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of corporate communications for global, regional and local client accounts.
- Proactively offer strategic counsel to existing and prospective clients.
- Work with a highly motivated team in the Hong Kong office as well as the firm’s regional and global network.
- Work with senior management to provide input towards the development of the firm’s strategic direction in the market.
- Lead the creation of strategic business development proposals, and strategic solutions to clients’ needs and challenges.
- Provide input for the Hong Kong office’s marketing and promotional activities in Asia.
- Manage and mentor junior team members.
Key Requirements
- Fluent and excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Analytical thinking and advisory skillset
- Experience providing strategic counsel to global, regional and local businesses and their c-suite
- Experience in finance services and public affairs, and media relations preferred
- Crisis and issues management experience.
- New business development skills (lead generation, research, strategy, proposal development, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, while also leading client teams
- A collegiate approach to working in a diverse team across the Asia region and globally
