About The Role

FTI Consulting is seeking a Director to join our growing Transactions Commercial Due Diligence team. Our Commercial Due Diligence team is aligned with FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring organization.

 

Our Transactions Services team helps our clients across the entire life cycle by bringing our industry and deal expertise to conduct due diligence, integrate, value, and provide key communications around all aspects of the transaction. Our team offers competitive advice and support by evaluating the risk and return considerations in all stages of the deal continuum.  

 

What You’ll Do

The Director will collaborate with our clients and internal project teams across the entire deal life cycle. You will use your strategic style, cross-functional expertise, and deal skills to: 

  • Conduct detailed research on products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities Manage commercial due diligence and business strategy engagements
  • Perform industry and company research utilizing primary and secondary research methods
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate both historical and forecasted firm performance  
  • Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
  • Provide support to maintain communication with clients and staff members on engagements, while updating senior team members on progress and issues
  • Assist in preparation of proposals
  • Network and build internal relationships with members of the Transactions team and other FTI Consulting service areas

 

How You’ll Grow

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance and expand your transaction and buy and sell side deal experiences, project management and delivery, and leadership experience.  You will work closely with our internal teams as well as with diverse clients across various industries.  You will gain exposure to PE investors and visibility into the process of evaluating companies primed for growth. 

 

What You Will Need To Succeed

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Informational Systems, Economics, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of post-graduate combined professional experience
  • 3+ years of commercial due diligence experience
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative aspects of business problems; with the ability to link business strategy to performance and due diligence findings 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and full MS Office suite
  • Experience assessing data in a data room 
  • Experience using Think-Cell, Tableau, SQL or other data visualization and data analysis software/tools
