About the Role
FTI Consulting, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst to utilize accounting knowledge, data modeling, and analytical skills to support the Technology Segment’s finance team. Core responsibilities include monthly close support, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting. This role will have a significant contribution in designing, building, and enhancing our business intelligence solutions. These tools serve as critical components for decision support and analysis. The financial analyst should possess a strong understanding of and desire to work with excel, large datasets, dashboards, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a strong sense of urgency and minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Support the monthly financial close and reporting cycle.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards.
- Enhance data models to align with business requirements.
- Automate repetitive tasks related to reporting and analysis.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Collaborate with different parts of the organization: Sales, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, IT, etc., to solve data, system, and operational issues.
- Continuously improve the accuracy, efficiency and speed of recurring reporting.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Hard Sciences (e.g., Applied Math, Computer Science).
- 2+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- 1+ year experience with data modeling (SQL, PowerQuery, & Power BI).
- Ability and desire to create financial models, build dashboards, and maintain them.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power BI service.
- Experience with Azure SQL Server.
