About the Role

The Manager on the Strategy & Transformation team directly supports the CEO, the firm’s Executive Committee, and other members of senior leadership withing FTI’s corporate infrastructure on a number of strategic and change initiatives across the company, including:

  • Defining the firm-wide strategy across the portfolio of FTI business segments and regions

  • Identifying and driving organic growth opportunities within the segments and regions

  • Supporting M&A / business development activity (due diligence, valuation, integration)

  • Improving processes within internal corporate functions (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Real Estate)

  • Instilling world-class client service and marketing capabilities

What You’ll Do

  • Function as a Team Leader leading project teams through various engagements.

  • Ability to manage projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision; take responsibility for initiatives within the S&T department and broader FTI

  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues providing clear and helpful on-the-job feedback and supporting a 360 feedback process enabling other members of the team to maximize individual and team potential

  • Proactively lead the development of solutions to problems through management consultations, data analysis, team meetings, and other applicable strategies

  • Manage and conduct objective research on current market trends, client competitors, project/staff management, financial performance, key operating indicators, and other related topics to support critical analyses

  • Clearly summarize gathered data and facts, confidently communicate/present findings to members of senior management as needed, develop action plans with clear accountability, PMO change efforts to improve the business

  • Write in compelling ways in both vertical and horizontal written formats; is creative in conveying ideas and data on the page

  • Strive for high-quality deliverables; drive projects to achieve maximum impact for the team and the firm

  • Understand how his/her own work fits into the broader business context

What You Will Need to Succeed  

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Has a high tolerance for ambiguity; deals well with unexpected or adverse situations

  • Limited, controllable travel up to 10% to other FTI offices as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, e.g., MBA

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with ThinkCell and Tableau

  • Executive-level communication and influence

  • Project planning and management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaborative work style, problems solving and conceptual thinking skills

  • Active approach to solving/completing assigned tasks

  • Ability to express and present own opinion using objective argumentation skills

  • Ability to work in a team and to work under stress

  • Self-aware and proactively seeks out opportunities to self-improve; is responsive to coaching/ feedback

  • High degree of ethical responsibility

  • Passion for driving change
