Position Summary

1. Apply strong accounting knowledge to complete month end close process and to handle statutory audits and tax filings.

2. Apply strong problem solving skill and analytical skill to handle accounting issues, primarily in revenue recognition, aim to reduce complexities and enhance efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the month end close process of Asia and managing the daily accounting operations of Asia regional office in Hong Kong.
• Assist in supervising a team of staff and provide guidance.
• Review client’s contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Perform analytical reviews on financial results on a monthly basis.
• Review journal entry vouchers and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and professionals regarding audit, tax and other regulatory matters for Asia entities.
• Manage and oversee annual statutory audits and tax filings for Asia entities.
• Assist in streamlining workflow and procedures including working with accounting system support team to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain appropriate standards of internal control to ensure the accuracy and quality of revenues support SOX compliance efforts.
• Assist in managing projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ related experiences, of which 2 years or above in supervisory role at sizable companies, and MNC and/or Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications such as PowerQuery. 
• Experience in handling large volume of data and automation of management reports would be advantageous.
• Strong problem solver, capable of identifying root cause and identifying mitigation plans with practical solution approaches.
• Self-confidence, and good communication skills, including business writing.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and project management skills.
• Less experience may be considered as Senior Accountant.
