About The Role

The Senior Consultant joins FTI’s Human Capital team, which resides within our EMEA Business Transformation practice. We support companies in times of large transformations or help them navigate uncertainty. We determine the direction of the company at critical moments, such as mergers and integrations, due diligence and large-scale transformations and focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, and financial needs with an experienced team of professionals.

Our Human Capital practice has an EMEA-wide focus, helping clients navigate complex business and labor environments. We partner with organizations across EMEA (and beyond) to drive workforce productivity, strengthen organizational set-ups, from operating model strategy to organizational design and execution, and apply our expertise in workforce strategy, which includes strategy and execution of collective labor agreements. Put simply, we help our clients maximize the effectiveness and impact of their most important assets – their people.

FTI’s Human Capital leadership also co-leads FTI’s aviation industry offering. As a result, a strong base of our clients operate in the aviation and related industries (such as aviation catering and ground handling).

We continue to strengthen our unique capabilities by investing in talent and intelligent tooling. As a result, our clients view us as trusted partners at all stages of the business life cycle, whether in distressed situations, facing new market opportunities, or navigating complex transactions.

While the role will have an EMEA-wide focus, the position will be based out of London. We collaborate closely with our offices across the EMEA region, and at the same time, actively support the global aviation practice that focuses on delivering value to airlines and aviation ecosystem partners.

What You’ll Do

• Help structure and lead a project workstream to ensure critical project deadlines are met
• Work as a close-knit team to ensure the best outcome for our clients is achieved
• Analyze client and market data to uncover unique insights, and turn these insights into recommendations and actionable strategic plans
• Conduct operational and financial analyses to identify strengths and pain points
• Travel to the client’s location to participate in meetings and interviews
• Translate recommendations into digestible storylines that can be presented to C-suite
• Support the growth of our office through business development activities, such as writing proposals

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Qualifications and Experience

• You have 2-6 years of relevant work experience at a tier 1 consulting company
• You have completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree
• Experience in or affinity with the aviation sector is a plus

• Skills and Competencies

• Ability to effectively navigate organisational dynamics
• Ability to analyse complex information to aid decision-making
• Ability to take initiative, initiate and complete tasks efficiently
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbally
• Ability to work effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders with different levels of seniority, including C-suite
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
• Flexible approach to work, with the desire and capability to work across sectors, project types and regions
• International travel will be required as part of this position
• International cultural awareness, given the global nature of our clients
• Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Dutch of other languages is considered an asset
