About The Role
Our Corporate Finance team focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional tests faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Typical Restructuring team assignments include lead financial restructuring advisory; financial, operational, and commercial due diligence; business reviews; cash and working capital management; valuation; contingency planning and insolvency.
Within that context, we are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Consultant to join our leading Restructuring team in London.
What You’ll Do
Engagement delivery involving:
- Assisting in business reviews through investigating historical and future financial performance;
- Preparing, testing and reviewing business plans and financial models;
- Undertaking variance / bridge analysis, identify reasons for underperformance;
- Develop a broad understanding of full suite of offerings e.g. contingency planning and insolvency appointments;
- Forming initial views and opinions on analyses, before sharing them with case manager;
- Communicating findings, including report writing and oral presentations;
- Ability to build detailed three statement financial models and have confidence in excel modelling;
- Interacting with the finance function, question Management assumptions and to interrogate and diligence financial analysis;
- On the job training to junior team members;
- Starting to develop external relationship network;
- Assisting with the preparation of formal pitches;
- Contributing to thought leadership presentations and events.

What You Will Need to Succeed
- Good Corporate Restructuring experience (on behalf of creditors or distressed corporates preferred)
- Experience of managing junior team members (graduates/consultants)
- Experience in report writing
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, with the ability to manage workloads during periods of intensive activity
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Strong written and communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations
- Relevant experience in a Consulting firm
Basic Qualifications
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a numerate subject
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
