About The Role

We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.

More specifically, we are looking for technical cybersecurity experts with experience in all or some of the following: intelligence collection, incident response, insider threat analysis, network operations, emerging cyber policy, security operations (malware analysis, specialized cloud expertise, forensic experts, penetration testing, and application testing). With offices worldwide, we are able to uncover and analyze critical information wherever a need exists—no matter how intricate the investigation may be.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct penetration testing and offensive security assessments across networks, applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise environments

• Identify vulnerabilities, simulate real-world attack scenarios, and clearly document technical findings, risk implications, and remediation recommendations

• Perform cybersecurity engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment, summarizing results accurately and concisely in written reports for a sophisticated client base consisting of top-tier law firms, financial institutions, and corporations

• Provide technical expertise in support of complex investigations, litigation, and incident response engagements where exploitation techniques or security weaknesses are at issue

• Manage and mentor consultants on technical engagements and collaborate with investigative researchers and cybersecurity specialists

• Deliver clear oral briefings to clients, explaining technical risks and practical mitigation strategies

• Help develop strategies to expand the firm’s offensive security capabilities and improve the efficiency and consistency of penetration testing methodologies

• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, threat actor techniques, tools, and emerging attack methodologies

• Contribute to the development of new testing frameworks, playbooks, and methodologies that enhance the firm’s cybersecurity assessment capabilities

What You Will Need To Succeed  

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, with significant time spent conducting penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security assessments

• Demonstrated experience identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in networks, applications, cloud environments, or enterprise infrastructure

• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings in written reports and client briefings

• Experience working in consulting, security testing firms, internal red teams, or similar environments supporting complex technical engagements

• Strong understanding of attacker methodologies, tools, and tactics used in real-world intrusions

• This role requires travel to clients and FTI Consulting offices
