About The Role 

We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.  

FTI is looking for a consulting professional at the senior director level with deep insurance industry experience who has an underwriting background. The role involves leading and building high performing teams, managing client engagements and delivery of existing litigation and arbitration propositions to market in the Insurance services sectors. Specifically, the background must include the capability to develop business through consulting sales and pipeline management. This is an excellent opportunity to help us grow this practice area and become a leader within in our US Global Insurance consulting team.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and perform day-to-day activities of projects including interaction with client personnel, other team members, and professionals from other firms involved in accounting advisory and forensic and litigation consulting engagements. 
  • Perform technical accounting and financial analysis and assists clients with analyzing and documenting complex investigative issues. 
  • Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis. 
  • Perform technical insurance research utilizing online tools and publicly available information, assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties, and develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. 
  • Apply financial and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines, such as detailed reviews of financial statements and underlying records and the application of Statutory Accounting. 
  • Maintain detailed working paper records of reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks. 
  • Prepare draft written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope and/or results of activities.

What You Will Need To Succeed  

Proven ability to develop buying relationships and leads, build opportunity pipelines and sell consultancy engagements

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related business field
  • 7+ years experience in insurance and/or financial services
  • Internal or external consulting experience
  • Change / project management experience
  • Experience effectively present proposals and solutions to executive level client management
  • Experience leading, delivering and growing consulting practice segment
  • Ability to travel to FTI Offices and client sites as needed
