About the Role
FTI Consulting Brussels is seeking an EU Public Affairs professional to join its Healthcare and Lifesciences team as a Senior Director.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in Public Affairs, combined with a strong interest in health and pharmaceutical policy and industry developments. Strong technical knowledge of recent EU regulatory initiatives in health policy areas and significant health sector experience will be considered essential for this role.
You will join a diverse and proactive team of policy experts advising a broad range of healthcare and pharmaceutical clients on navigating complex public policy and communications challenges. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in servicing client accounts by creatively designing and executing programmes in close collaboration with colleagues. Beyond supporting client engagements, you will oversee the day-to-day management of multiple clusters and mentor junior team members.
In addition, you will be expected to drive business development by expanding existing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and converting them into long-term partnerships.
What You'll Do
· Client delivery: Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis, and build strong relationships with client stakeholders. Take ownership of relationships by creatively designing and delivering impactful campaigns.
· Business development: Proactively identify new business opportunities and collaborate with colleagues on activities such as pitch preparation and delivery.
· Team leadership: Provide project line management for team members working on your accounts, while sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues to support their growth.
· Networking: Actively engage with EU stakeholders, policymakers, and potential clients to expand and strengthen your professional network.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Several years of experience up to mid/senior level in the healthcare sector either in consulting, in-house, in a trade body, in a public institution, or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
- Strong organisation or project management skills, with some experience of leading project teams or accounts.
- Proven skills in public affairs, advocacy, communication, and reputation management across healthcare issues.
- Excellent understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and in national capitals to further develop strategic objectives.
- Strong knowledge of the Healthcare & Lifesciences sector, regulation and policy discussions.
- Excellent English with one or two additional European languages preferable.
- Good writing skills and a good understanding of communications
- Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).

- Ideally prior experience or background in advisory or consultancy work.
