About the Opportunity


The Cybersecurity Marketing Senior Director is responsible for the overall implementation and management of all strategic and operational marketing and client relation-facing activities for FTI’s global Cybersecurity practice.

 

Responsibilities include the development and execution of a holistic marketing program for the global practice, including thought leadership and content management, audience targeting and segmentation, and high-profile event management. The role provides market feedback to leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generation of client development ideas.  The Marketing Director will implement measurable strategies that aid in driving the practice’s revenue goals and increasing awareness at all levels of the practice’s reach.


This job will require some travel, up to 20%. This position will report directly to the Global Cybersecurity Leader.

 

 

Primary Duties

 
Marketing

  • Oversight and coordination of global Cybersecurity marketing activities through collaboration with other region and segment marketing leads
  • Work with practice leadership to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to showcase, profile and support our experts/expertise and drive business development efforts
    • Identify right-to-win areas, target clients and potential marketing opportunities (i.e., leverage Corporate Research to identify trends and topics, define the audiences to which we should be speaking and marketing, etc.)
    • Support business development efforts with messaging and go-to-market materials (i.e., align marketing with business development team efforts)
  • Work with the practice professionals and Corporate Marketing to develop the strategy and execution of thought leadership and content for the practice
  • Oversight of content development for the global practice which includes case studies, website content, bios, brochures
  • Develop an events and sponsorship plan and strategy
    • Insure a consistent brand story through all event marketing touch points, including websites, social, digital and print advertising, affiliate marketing, and marketing partnerships with our sponsors
    • Research sponsorships and speaking opportunities
    • Understand where our competitors and peers are speaking, sponsoring, etc.
    • Develop and oversee a process for follow up after significant marketing/ business development events
    • Coordinate Practice Development budget allocation and assess ROI 
  •  Develop a social media strategy and oversee implementation. Assist with writing social media content for the practice

  • Coordinate content development and responses required for FTI Marketing initiatives
  • Develop internal communications for the practice as needed
  • Develop and maintain information about awards won within the practice and market that information as appropriate
  • Draft press releases for the practice as needed; coordinate with Corporate Marketing
  • Other special projects as may be assigned from time to time

 

Team Building/Infrastructure Creation

  • Build and lead a team of direct reports in Cybersecurity Marketing (currently expected to be two)     
  • Insure the Cybersecurity team coordinates with and benefits from synergy with other marketing resources – e.g., segment and region marketing teams, VisCom, Corporate Marketing

 

Research/Competitive Intelligence

  • Provide strategic guidance for marketing efforts related to competitor analysis/differentiation, messaging and value propositions      


Basic Qualifications 

  • 10+ Years of marketing experience, especially within marketing strategy, thought leadership, and event planning
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in cybersecurity industry

  • Concise and persuasive business writing skills (writing sample submissions required)

  • Ability to travel as required (up to 20%)
