About the Opportunity:


Within the Corporate Finance segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions to manage the CFO’s inbox for a company that is maximizing its performance and positioned to meet today’s increasing challenges.  The performance expectation for the finance function is at a new peak and the demands placed on a CFO have never been greater.

 

Our ideal candidate will bring a minimum of eight years of on-point project management and execution experience in carve-outs and merger integrations, in a similar type advisory environment and/or in a corporate office with the same role.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

This hire will be a critical team member to help execute client engagements in both carve-out and merger integration engagements. This role also carries practice development responsibilities in addition to client work. Key responsibilities for this position include:

 

• Supporting the senior team in continuing to build and grow the practice. Developing knowledge management, including tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, playbooks, checklists and processes

• Proactively identifying business development opportunities and participating in the pursuit of clients

• Leading carve-out and merger integration projects, including oversight of client deliverables, project management, and reporting

• Performing high quality client work and developing client reports/messaging, including taking a proactive approach and anticipating client needs

• Assisting with practice development and marketing, including developing materials, go-to-market strategy support, and case studies

• Participating in writing thought leadership pieces relevant to the carve-out and merger integration practices

 

The candidate will perform detailed financial analysis and effectively communicate key takeaways to the client’s senior leaders. They will create financial models and analysis, support operational planning as well as various transaction such as IPOs, carve-outs, and other transformative corporate actions. They will also develop and proactively improve reporting in response to business needs and complete and respond to ad hoc requests in a timely manner.

 

Candidates will act as the technical or project lead role on Event Readiness projects. They must be able to provide guidance to more senior team members around timing, expectations, and any problems that arise, as well as providing leadership and direction to less senior team members.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

 â€¢ BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems; MBA a plus

• CPA, CTP, CFA, CAIA or other advanced certifications

• 6 years of experience in Event Readiness (carve-out, IPO preparation, M&A integration) with experience in at least 5 transactions

• Willingness to travel 80%

• Ability to lead projects

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and writing skills

• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills

• Self-starter mentality, ability to work independently, and motivation to learn and apply new techniques, technical skills, and knowledge required by duties and responsibilities

• Strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen

• Experience with ERPs and/or other key IT platforms is preferred. Experiences can include (but are not limited to) system administration, business requirement analysis, vendor selection, and/or system implementation support

• Ability to train and develop staff

• Excellent teamwork, client facing, and interpersonal skills
