About the Role
The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The Senior Systems Engineer leads the implementation and transition of IT solutions to FTI’s practitioners and ITG operations teams based on established architecture standards. As the project technical lead, the Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of network server infrastructure (both on-prem and cloud) in support of IT service deployment associated with office relocations, expansions, consolidations as well as life cycle replacement of aging infrastructure in existing offices. This role also offers the opportunity to implement audio visual solutions, including video teleconferencing platforms and wireless presentation systems, as well as planning and implementation support of security systems as part of new office construction. Additional responsibilities will include creation/update of technical artifacts including solution recommendations, architecture diagrams, deployment plans, test plans, standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, service books, and lessons learned.

Strong business and technical process design and documentation skills
A high level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge
The ability to understand and apply policies and procedures in production environments under tight deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail
The ability to manage time well and meet deadlines in support of high-profile construction projects
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
HPE server hardware deployment expertise, including BIOS, storage controllers and HPE OneView
VMware ESXi hypervisor deployment, and networking and security configuration
Windows Server operating system deployment and configuration, Active Directory, DHCP and Print
Microsoft Group Policy configuration and deployment
Microsoft Active Directory Sites and Services
Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud including Windows Server architecture and related concepts
Microsoft PowerShell Scripting
Storage Networking Architecture and concepts
Cisco and related networking concepts
Third-Party Cloud Technologies
Video conferencing systems & audio-visual technologies
Microsoft Teams Room Solutions deployment experience
Industry best practices, standards and technology
Project Management and experience operating on high-performing project teams
What You’ll Do
Implement and transition cloud and on-premises IT solutions supporting FTI’s business objectives
Ensure that the business and technical architecture of delivered solutions match customer requirements
Create and execute test plans to ensure as-built solutions are fit for use and purpose and lead the remediation of issues identified during testing
Formulate and execute deployment plans to ensure the successful implementation and operation of IT solutions as part of new office construction and life cycle replacement projects
Develop standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles and train administrators to ensure the effective use and support of IT solutions
Document system architecture to maintain and support business-as-usual (BAU) support
Provide high quality project implementation services on all assignments as part of a dedicated Implementation & Deployment team
Manage all budgetary expenses as it relates to assigned project areas

Basic Qualifications
10+ years in a technical role
5+ years’ experience in the design and operation of enterprise environments
Travel to FTI offices, as needed, including international travel
Expertise in architecture drawing development using Microsoft Visio
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
CompTIA Server+ Certification
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
Demonstrated experience implementing IT solutions as part of new office construction projects
Project Management experience
