About the Role

The Senior Workday Analyst is responsible for the configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Workday Core HCM and associated modules. This role combines functional expertise with a collaborative approach to deliver high-quality HR technology solutions. The ideal candidate works independently with strong attention to detail, anticipates client and stakeholder needs, and actively contributes to team and departmental initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recognized functional expertise in Workday HCM and a commitment to ongoing skill development

  • Proven ability to work independently, draw conclusions from analysis, and present well-organized recommendations

  • Strong communication skills with a focus on keeping stakeholders informed and moving discussions forward

 

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert for Core HCM, partnering with HR, HRIS, and Centers of Excellence to provide guidance on configuration best practices and process optimization

  • Acting as Tier 1 support, troubleshoot issues, resolve system errors, analyze process flaws, and manage routine operational activities to ensure smooth system performance.

  • Work independently to analyze current state solutions, identify issues, and generate ideas to improve processes and address stakeholder needs

  • Support Workday implementation activities by coordinating deliverables, tracking milestones, and ensuring quality of work products

  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of internal clients and stakeholders, proactively sharing relevant information with the team

  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior team members, helping them understand the broader context of HR technology decisions

  • Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead portions of department projects or process improvement initiatives

  • Complete continuing education to maintain and grow Workday domain knowledge, including relevant certifications

  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to support HR technology and business process initiatives, contributing points that move discussions forward

  • Assist in managing relationships with third-party partner solutions (e.g., First Advantage, Paradox, Avature, HR Acuity)

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Information Systems, HR, Business Administration, or similar)

  • 3+ years of experience in HR Systems / HR Operations roles

  • Experience configuring Workday

  • Knowledge of Workday Core HCM, including system architecture, configuration, business process framework, and integration capabilities

  • Ability to travel to FTI office(s) as needed

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position will not sponsor applicants for work visas

  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot cross functional Workday issues

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work at all levels of the organization

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a global professional services or consulting environment

  • Workday HCM functional certifications (e.g. HCM, Compensation, Absence, etc.)

  • Strong background in HR process optimization and automation

  • Knowledge of additional HR technologies and integration platforms

  • Experience working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Track record of building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships
