About the Role:

The Global Mobility Senior Associate provides support to HRBPs, leadership, and other internal stakeholders in all activities involved in the cross-border movement of employees and their families. The role will report to the Global Mobility Manager and play an important role in continuing to the function, educating the business on risk mitigation and compliance, and providing subject matter expertise in the areas of tax/wage reporting and relocation. The Global Mobility Senior Associate will specialize in global mobility tax and relocation case management and work as part of a global team to provide support across all regions and countries where FTI conducts business.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Provide guidance to employees, HRBPs and other internal stakeholders for all matters related to global mobility including individual tax/wage reporting compliance and relocation;
  • Support FTI’s global mobility and tax equalization program, including coordination of compensation data collection, reconciliation and organizing payment related to shadow payrolls and TEQ settlements, preparing tax cost projections and managing accruals with Corporate Accounting team, preparing and maintaining Certificate of Coverage/A1 social security exemption documents, and supporting EU Posted Worker compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-border movement of employees including permanent and fixed-term transfers;
  • Work with Managers to provide advice to the business on complex cross-border business needs including tax strategy/risks, mobility best practices, and internal policy compliance;
  • Assist with collection and review of global business travel reports and other compliance reviews that identify areas of risk exposure or non-compliance related to mobility tax and wage reporting, including social security and shadow payroll;
  • Maintain relationship with service providers for relocation and tax, to ensure outstanding customer service, policy compliance, and data integrity;
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulations, trends and industry practices, consulting with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed;
  • Work closely with other members of the Global Mobility team to report and analyze mobility data to better identify global mobility trends, employee engagement issues, and other opportunities to improve program management;
  • Manage vendor invoice review and approval process for all designated Global Mobility vendors;

 

 

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field;
  • 2-4 years demonstrated experience in a Global Mobility tax role or a related role within a tax services firm;
  • Demonstrated understanding of tax equalization, totalization agreements, permanent establishment, and shadow payrolls;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of global mobility services, best practices, and compliance including but not limited to mobility tax and relocation;
  • Understanding of global mobility management in all regions including EMEA, APAC, North America, and LatAm desirable;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business and explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner;
  • Proactive planning, execution, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Strong customer service and cultural adaptability;
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Peoplesoft a plus.
