ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: FTI Consulting, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Test (SET) for our Engineering Productivity team, part of our Technology business practice. On this team, you will utilize your critical thinking and technical skills to help directly drive the success of our flagship e-Discovery product, Ringtail, and will be instrumental in contributing to our engineering drive towards Continuous Delivery.

As a SET for Engineering Productivity (EP), you will work closely with the other members of the team, business owners, stakeholders from development, and other R&D team members as you play a major role in helping scale our release cadence. This work includes automated test planning and implementation for new features in Ringtail, and improvements to deployment tools that allow us to leverage cloud resources for testing purposes. Bring your creativity, break-it mentality, strong communication skills, technical abilities, and desire to learn quickly, and join us as we solidify our position as the leaders in e-Discovery.

Responsibilities:

• You will work with the members of the team to coordinate testing and may have to participate in project management activities in addition to normal test activities. 
• You will develop an automated test harness and leverage best practices for testing in a continuous delivery environment.
• You will work with remote team members to deliver high quality projects on time.
• You will identify opportunities for process, tools and test methodology improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.
• You will be looked upon for subject matter expertise on testing practices.

Requirements:

• Ability to ramp up quickly on any type of new technology (from hardware to software infrastructure to core FTI technology).
• Proven track record in handling multiple, complex projects/releases and keeping track of details of each test cycle in parallel.
• Excellent understanding of testing concepts, test methodologies and how test fits into the SDLC.
• Good understanding of object oriented programming with strong coding and debugging abilities.
• Ability to leverage and integrate different industry-level automation frameworks/tool practices.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with test automation techniques and testing tools is required
• Familiarity with industry best practices for quality management is a plus.
• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• BS or BA in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Software development/testing and automation experience required.
• Experience with testing tools like Selenium or Microsoft Web Test
• Experience with object oriented programming using C# or Java.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Java Script.
• Experience working in an agile environment delivering tests in a Continuous Integration environment
• Good experience working on Windows and .NET platform.
• Deep knowledge of Internet technologies is required.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases & XML preferred.
• Experience with Java Script frameworks such as jQuery or ExtJS.
