About The Role

 

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Tax Manager. The role holder will be required to oversee the regional (Middle East) direct and indirect compliance, tax planning and transfer pricing. The candidate will provide active support to successfully conclude tax audits and controversies.  As well as coordinate the company tax implications related to Middle East Staff doing business across International jurisdictions and any Permanent Establishments. Alongside of maintaining and monitoring tax relationships with professional advisors.  The role will suit an individual with the gravitas and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at every level.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Manage all aspects of Middle East corporate tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax computations, tax enquiries 
  • Calculate legal entity tax provisions and work with the EMEA finance team to ensure entries are posted to the financial statements 
  • Working with the EMEA Tax Director on all compliance matters and preparation of quarterly and year-end tax provisions 
  • Manage external third-party tax providers in the preparation and disclosure of tax entries in statutory financial statements and coordination of any tax audits 
  • Ensure SOX procedures and controls are implemented and effective, working with EMEA Tax Director to enhance controls where required 
  • Manage regional transfer pricing for local entities 
  • Manage indirect tax in the region 
  • Assistance with employment tax queries in the region 
  • Advise on taxation implication as required by the business segments on ad hoc projects 
  • Preparation of withholding tax claims/issues across the region
  • Responsible for supporting planning activities and tax due diligence and structuring involved with M&A transactional activity 
  • Support implementation of planning and deals by working closely with the tax compliance team and producing documentation support

What You Will Need to Succeed

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Experience Middle East direct and indirect taxes
