About The Role

 

The Leave Administrator is a key member of the HR Solutions Hub, embedded within the Core Operations Human Resources business support group. This person oversees tracking and management of all leave requests, including short and long-term sickness, Maternity/Paternity/ Adoption or Shared Parental Leave, and unpaid time off/Sabbaticals. The Leave Administrator is the organisational subject matter expert on internal leave policies and is the primary point of contact for employees.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for leave requests, communicating directly with and supporting employees and leaders throughout the leave process
  • Receive and review leave requests and supporting documentation
  • Update and maintain employee absence records
  • Own all family leave and additional leave processes, including employee correspondence, DSE assessments (maternity), and monitoring leave/return dates
  • Conduct meetings with employees scheduled to take Maternity/Adoption/Paternity or Shared Parental leave to provide guidance on policies and procedures
  • Coordinate return to work with employees and leaders, including determination of and administration of reasonable accommodations where applicable. Coordinate with HR Business Partners to evaluate the need for potential accommodations
  • Track continuous and intermittent leaves, both paid and unpaid, in accordance with internal policies and laws; and record leaves in our HR system
  • Ensure compliance with related policies and regulations
  • Monitor sickness and other absence records and identify any issues
  • Provide the wider HR team with regular reports
  • Coordinate with Payroll to ensure pay is accurate for employees on leave
  • Coordinate with Benefits advisors on the benefit impacts of leaves; educate employees on these benefits impacts

What You Will Need to Succeed

 

  • Customer service orientation with exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Practical time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • The ability to be proactive, use initiative, and take ownership for all aspects of the role

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Experience in a HR generalist role (HR Coordinator/Administrator/Assistant)
  • Experience working with a HRIS
  • Experience processing various types of ‘leave’, including short and long-term sickness, Maternity/Paternity/Adoption or Shared Parental Leave, and unpaid time off/Sabbaticals

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Professional services industry experience is preferred but not is essential
  • Fluency in additional EMEA languages would be beneficial but is not essential
